Zircon Bricks for Blast Furnaces

Zircon bricks are not commonly used for the construction of blast furnaces, which are primarily used for the smelting of iron and other metals. Blast furnaces operate under extremely high temperatures and harsh conditions, and their linings need to withstand these conditions while also resisting wear and corrosion. While zirconium has excellent high-temperature properties, it is not the material of choice for blast furnace linings for several reasons:
